Job Description

This role involves engaging in turnkey project development, contract manufacturing, and sourcing within a manufacturing environment that values engineering expertise and language skills. The ideal candidate is eager to learn sales processes and has a background in engineering or estimating, with proficiency in Japanese.

Position Responsibilities

🔧 Requirements

  • Sales experience not required.
  • Experience in CNC tool manufacturing is essential.
  • Japanese language proficiency is required.
  • Background in engineering and estimating preferred.

🔑 Turnkey Project Development & Execution

Key Tasks
  • Generate leads and collaborate with potential customers to refine project concepts and scopes.
  • Select suitable suppliers to execute projects.
  • Finalize and present proposals.
  • Oversee project execution from start to finish.
Work Summary

Turnkey projects begin by discussing customer issues or upcoming needs. Often, customers are unsure of how to resolve their problems, requiring the employee to gather relevant information through field observations and interviews, identify critical points, and prepare draft RFQs.

Skills & Knowledge Required
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills.
  • Basic familiarity with a variety of manufacturing processes.
Skills & Knowledge Recommended
  • CAD modeling skills.
  • East Asian language proficiency for international supplier management.

🛠️ Contract Manufacturing

Key Tasks
  • Generate leads and select appropriate manufacturing suppliers based on required methods.
  • Manage CAD quality control and communication with partner factories.
  • Send RFQs for parts based on customer drawings or models.
Work Summary

Work involves utilizing partner factories to provide contract manufacturing services to U.S. clients. This includes verifying that 3D models match specifications when converting from 2D drawings and ensuring quality control before production begins.

  • Proficiency in reading engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of CNC metal cutting and post-processing methods like plating and engraving.
