GPAC Is Hiring An Engineering Estimating Sales Rep

Exciting opportunity for candidates with CNC tool manufacturing experience and Japanese language skills to join our team, even if sales experience is not required! 🌟

Position Responsibilities

Sales experience is not required; however, CNC tool manufacturing experience and proficiency in Japanese are essential. Ideal candidates have a background in engineering and estimating within a CNC tool manufacturing plant and are eager to learn sales techniques, along with Japanese language capabilities.

Turnkey Project Development & Execution Key Tasks

• Lead Generation & Customer Collaboration: Generate leads, work with potential customers to refine project concepts and scope, select suitable suppliers, finalize and present proposals, and oversee project execution.
• Work Summary:

  Start by discussing existing problems or upcoming needs of customers. Often, customers may not know how to solve these problems. The employee must gather all relevant information—including field observations and interviews—identify critical points, and prepare a draft RFQ (Request for Quotation).

• Skills & Knowledge Required:
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
  • Strong writing and oral presentation skills
  • Familiarity with various manufacturing processes
• Additional Skills & Knowledge (Recommended):
  • Project management and organizational skills
  • CAD modeling
  • East Asian language proficiency (for international supplier management)

Contract Manufacturing Key Tasks

• Lead Generation & Supplier Selection: Identify suitable manufacturing partners based on required methods, and control CAD quality.
• Delivery Work Summary:

  Utilize partner factories to provide contract manufacturing services to American clients. Customers will supply 2D drawings, 3D models, or physical parts. The employee must send RFQs to appropriate suppliers. When converting 2D drawings to 3D models for CAM, confirm accuracy against original dimensions before production begins.

• Skills & Knowledge Required:
  • Reading and understanding engineering drawings
  • Familiarity with CNC metal cutting
  • Knowledge of post-processing methods such as plating and engraving
• Skills & Knowledge Recommended: 3D CAD modeling

Ad Hoc Sourcing Key Tasks

• Customer Needs & Supplier Engagement: Clarify customer requirements, identify and engage with suitable suppliers, develop quotations, and manage sales and delivery processes.
• Work Summary: Understand customer needs, locate the optimal supplier, and execute quotation, sales, and delivery activities efficiently and timely.
• Skills & Knowledge Required:
  • Familiarity with a wide range of manufacturing processes
  • Research and supplier identification skills
  • Proficiency in Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
