Salary Range: $48,000 - $55,000
What You'll Be Responsible For 🔑
IsraelNow offers an immersive week-long trip to Israel for eighth graders. As a vital part of the IsraelNow Chicago team, you will:
- Engage and recruit teens from the Chicagoland area preparing for their IsraelNow trip
- Coordinate logistics and facilitate events and programs
- Manage administrative functions related to the program
Your Specific Responsibilities 📝
Recruitment & Engagement 🤝
- Work with the Director to run recruitment activities, info sessions, and one-on-one conversations with teens, families, and professionals
- Support pre- and post-trip events for teens and parents/guardians
- Build partnerships with synagogues and community organizations
- Lead IsraelNow trips, exercising independent judgment, managing day-to-day operations, and resolving issues on-site
- Assist in staff recruitment and training
- Collaborate with JUF's teen department
Administration & Logistics 📋
- Manage software platforms like Salesforce and CampMinder
- Oversee the application process and compile necessary paperwork
- Coordinate billing with the Accounting department
- Plan logistics for orientations, info sessions, reunions, and staff training
- Participate in program evaluations and engage with IsraelNow alumni post-trip
- Support campaign initiatives and related activities
- Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor
What You Need to Succeed ✅
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree 🎓
- Prior Israel experience, including group travel ✈️
- Deep knowledge and genuine passion for Jewish communal life and cultural practices 📅✡️
- At least one year of experience in operations, logistics, administration, or related fields 📂
- At least one year working directly with teens in educational settings OR two summers at a summer camp 🌞
- Strong passion for Israel and youth development ❤️
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills 🗣️
- Outgoing personality capable of building relationships across age groups 🤗
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial spirit, and proactive mindset 🚀
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion 🤫
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel to Israel as needed ✈️
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Canva 💻
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Israel teen travel or camp operations 🌍
- Knowledge of Hebrew 🕎
- Experience with CampMinder and Salesforce applications 🖥️
