Location: Fort Collins, CO
Employment Status: Hourly, Part-Time, Non-Exempt | 25 hours/week + team work days, inservice days, and weekly meetings (remote attendance possible)

Position Description
We seek a dedicated, flexible paraprofessional to support student academic success and behavioral growth. Paraprofessionals are integral school-based staff, deployed strategically to maximize their impact on student engagement, intervention, and consistency. This role supports a first-grade French Immersion classroom in the mornings and elementary-wide lunch duties, with hours from 7:30 to 12:30 (flexibility may be available).
Position Responsibilities
1. Behavioral Support (Primary Priority) 🎯
- Implement behavior plans and support students with needs identified through 504 Plans, IEPs, or MTSS.
- Utilize PBIS/MTSS strategies and active supervision to guide expectations during various school activities.
- Support regulation strategies to foster a calm and positive learning environment.
2. Intervention & Academic Support 📚
- Reinforce teacher-led lessons and increase student engagement.
- Check for understanding and lead WIN (What I Need) intervention groups.
- Support small group instruction and provide individualized support for diverse learning needs.
3. Assessment Support 📊
- Assist in administering assessments and monitor student progress.
- Gather observational data to inform instruction and support team decision-making.
4. Classroom & Schoolwide Support 🏫
- Support transitions, arrival, lunch, recess, and coverage duties.
- Help manage classroom flow to maximize instructional time.
- Flex across classrooms as needed to meet student needs.
- Step into lead roles during teacher absences, with support from substitutes when necessary.
5. Teacher/Team Support 🤝
- Assist with preparing classroom materials and light organizational tasks, secondary to instructional duties.
- Attend staff meetings, trainings, and school events punctually.
- Perform additional duties aligned with school goals and educational effectiveness.
6. Team Expectations
- Take initiative and communicate observations proactively.
- Be flexible and responsive to school priorities.
- Align behavior expectations and instructional strategies with classroom teams.
Requirements
Required Qualifications ✔️
- Associate's degree or equivalent
- Proficiency in English (advanced level)
- Intermediate-high or above proficiency in French
Preferred Qualifications 🌟
- Native-level French proficiency
- Experience working with elementary students in a school setting
- Previous experience in elementary education
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
