Join our vibrant French Immersion program! We are seeking passionate and dedicated French Immersion K-5 Teachers for full-time, school-year positions in a dynamic educational environment.
Job Overview
As a teacher, you will implement the curriculum, keep accurate records, collaborate with your grade-level team, and adapt materials to reflect the French immersion theme. Your role includes managing behavior and fostering a positive classroom climate. Candidates should be enthusiastic about working with students of all abilities in a French immersion setting and possess a strong command of French, English, and their subject area to personalize instruction based on students' interests and needs. We aim to recruit instructors from a variety of French-speaking countries to showcase the global reach of the French language. International applicants are required to have at least 2 years of teaching experience and hold a teaching degree.

- Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications
- Status: Exempt position with Académie Lafayette, compliant with U.S. Department of Labor standards
Reporting Structure
The French Immersion Teacher reports directly to the campus/building principal.
Main Responsibilities
- Participate in grade-level curriculum planning
- Design and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with the immersion model
- Manage classroom behavior effectively
- Communicate regularly with peers and parents
- Maintain accurate grades, report cards, and attendance records
- Attend all mandatory training and professional development sessions
- Participate in school-wide activities and events
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree; holding or eligibility for Missouri Teaching Certificate or equivalent in the home country
- Language Proficiency: Native or near-native fluency in French
- Experience: Proven teaching experience; international candidates must have at least 2 years of experience
- Skills: Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills suitable for a multicultural environment
- Technology: Ability to integrate classroom technology effectively
- Other: Deep commitment to student success and adaptability in teaching methods
Additional Requirements
- Must pass both state and federal fingerprint background checks through MACHS
- Must be registered or register with the Family Care Safety Registry
