What’s the Role 🎯
Seeking a passionate Elementary General Education Teacher to provide engaging, standards-based instruction using Responsive Classroom techniques, monitor student progress, and collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices. No Hebrew language requirement! We encourage candidates from underrepresented backgrounds to apply.
What You’ll Do
- Uphold a strong commitment to all students, believing in their potential and maintaining high academic standards
- Engage in continuous professional growth through self-reflection and receptiveness to feedback
- Develop quality lesson plans aligned with Common Core standards
- Regularly analyze assessment data to inform instructional decisions
- Create an inviting classroom environment that maximizes learning and utilizes varied instructional techniques
- Possess deep knowledge and passion for your instructional subject area
- Demonstrate previous student achievement growth
- Collaborate with faculty and instructional leaders to ensure curriculum coherence
- Build meaningful relationships with families through ongoing communication
- Bring energy and enthusiasm to working with students and staff
- Exhibit a solutions-oriented approach and flexible thinking
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required; Master’s degree a plus
- K-12 lead teaching experience preferred
- Experience in urban, public charter, or Title I schools advantageous
- Holding or working toward NY teacher certification is a plus
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Legally authorized to work in the USA
