Position Details

• Title: French Reading Interventionist
• Employment Type: Full-time, 10-month school-year position
• Start Date: August 4, 2026
• Salary: Commensurate with experience
• Location: Académie Lafayette
• Position Status: Exempt under the U.S. Department of Labor
• Reporting To: Campus/Building Principal

Job Responsibilities

• Coordinate French reading and intervention programs, including assessment, progress monitoring, data collection, and analysis
• Create and implement improvement plans based on student data
• Provide direct support to students through small groups or push-in strategies
• Facilitate training and professional development sessions for the K-5 French team
• Deliver research-based instruction in intervention groups
• Participate in ongoing professional development related to reading instruction
• Assist the building principal with assessment and intervention planning
• Support grade-level teachers in strategies to support at-risk students
• Collaborate with the district intervention team and leadership in district initiatives
• Engage in parent support and education initiatives
• Contribute to district staff development committees
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in French, elementary education, or a related field
• Hold or be eligible for a Missouri teaching certificate or equivalent certification from your home country
• Proven experience as a teacher in relevant settings

Additional Requirements

• Pass a state and federal fingerprint background check through MACHS
• Register or be willing to register with the Family Care Safety Registry
