We are seeking a dedicated and skilled French Reading Interventionist to support language and literacy development in our students. This full-time, school-year position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative educational environment.
Position Details
- Title: French Reading Interventionist
- Employment Type: Full-time, 10-month school-year position
- Start Date: August 4, 2026
- Salary: Commensurate with experience
- Location: Académie Lafayette
- Position Status: Exempt under the U.S. Department of Labor
- Reporting To: Campus/Building Principal
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate French reading and intervention programs, including assessment, progress monitoring, data collection, and analysis
- Create and implement improvement plans based on student data
- Provide direct support to students through small groups or push-in strategies
- Facilitate training and professional development sessions for the K-5 French team
- Deliver research-based instruction in intervention groups
- Participate in ongoing professional development related to reading instruction
- Assist the building principal with assessment and intervention planning
- Support grade-level teachers in strategies to support at-risk students
- Collaborate with the district intervention team and leadership in district initiatives
- Engage in parent support and education initiatives
- Contribute to district staff development committees
- Perform other duties as assigned by the principal
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in French, elementary education, or a related field
- Hold or be eligible for a Missouri teaching certificate or equivalent certification from your home country
- Proven experience as a teacher in relevant settings
Additional Requirements
- Pass a state and federal fingerprint background check through MACHS
- Register or be willing to register with the Family Care Safety Registry
