Join our dynamic Technology Department as an Educational Technology Specialist, collaborating with educators, staff, and students to enhance teaching and learning through innovative technology integration.

Job Overview

As a vital part of our team, the Educational Technology Specialist will support teaching, learning, and productivity across Early Childhood, Lower School, and Middle School. This role involves partnering with administrators and faculty to design engaging learning experiences, facilitate technology usage, and facilitate professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Collaboration: Coordinate, plan, and implement professional development activities for administrators and faculty regarding classroom or office technology.
• Motivation & Engagement: Use effective communication skills to inspire teachers to incorporate educational technology into their lessons.
• Modeling & Coaching: Partner with instructional staff to demonstrate the use of instructional technology both inside and outside the classroom.
• Implementation Support: Support hardware, software, and technology resource integration to enhance student learning experiences.
• Classroom Support: Visit classrooms for observation, coaching, troubleshooting, and supporting students and teachers with technology use (e.g., Google Workspace, Chromebooks).
• Resource Development: Create tutorials, guides, websites, and interactive programs to aid staff in technology integration.
• Data & System Management: Support and train staff on Student Information Systems, Gradebooks, Report Cards, and Parent Portals, including module-specific support such as Attendance and Discipline.
• Software & App Support: Provide ongoing training for tools like SMART Notebook, Google Classroom, Microsoft applications, and assistive technology.
• STEM & Tech Initiatives: Promote STEM curriculum integration and help develop interdisciplinary projects and activities like Tech Tuesday.
• Communication & Directions: Follow written and verbal instructions effectively, communicate technology solutions clearly, and work with frustrated users empathetically.
• Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities, projects, and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education
• Master’s Degree in Educational Technology or related field
• Google Certified Teacher and/or Trainer
• Classroom teaching experience
• Fluency in Hebrew is a plus! 🌍
