About the Role

As a Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you'll deliver tailored, one-on-one instruction to students with special needs in their homes. Your responsibilities include supporting students with daily activities, offering moral encouragement, and designing instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all neighborhoods in Beverly Hills, CA.

Details

• Location: In-Person Tutoring in Beverly Hills, CA
• Schedule: 10 hours a month; 2 sessions per week, each lasting 1 hour and 15 minutes
• Pay Rate: $25 - $35 per hour

Ideal Candidate

• Experience working with early elementary students and/or those receiving speech therapy
• Knowledge of foundational literacy, math, and Hebrew instruction
• Ability to create engaging, interactive lessons with hands-on activities
• Strong communication skills and collaborative approach with families
• Awareness of modesty dress requirements during sessions (no tank tops, sleeveless tops, or short skirts; pants or long skirts preferred)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one tutoring in foundational literacy, math, and Hebrew literacy
• Support development in handwriting, phonemic awareness, sight words, reading fluency, early writing skills, and Hebrew reading/writing
• Implement engaging, hands-on teaching methods aligned with student interests such as soccer ⚽, sand play 🏖️, trucks 🚚, singing 🎶, and drums 🥁
• Adjust instruction to suit each student's academic level and attention span
• Foster a positive, encouraging, and patient learning environment
• Maintain regular communication with families regarding progress and goals
