UNDP’s Programme of Assistance to the Palestinian People (PAPP) has a long-standing commitment to improving the socio-economic conditions of Palestinians since 1978. With a focus on Transformative Resilience—centered around Palestinian identity, self-reliance, and leadership—UNDP’s efforts align with national development goals and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The role supports the ongoing Sawasya III programme—a multi-year joint initiative to strengthen justice, security, and human rights across the West Bank and Gaza. Your role as a Driver will be pivotal in ensuring operational excellence, facilitating staff movement, logistics, and access to challenging areas.
Key Responsibilities
Reliable and Safe Driving Services 🚗
- Transport staff, officials, visitors, and materials securely and responsibly.
- Assist with airport and bridge pick-ups, including visa and customs formalities.
Promote Cost-Efficiency 💰
- Maintain accurate vehicle logs and support maintenance planning.
- Prepare timely reports on vehicle use and issues.
Vehicle Maintenance & Documentation 🛠️
- Perform minor repairs or coordinate scheduling major repairs.
- Conduct regular checks like oil, tires, brakes, and cleanliness.
- Ensure vehicle documentation, insurance, and maps are up-to-date.
- Handle accident protocols per regulations.
Logistics & Administrative Support 🗃️
- Deliver and collect official documents and support event logistics.
- Assist with setting up workshops, seminars, and related activities.
- Support office setup, including furniture and equipment arrangements.
The Driver may be assigned other duties as necessary to support the organization’s operations.

Required Skills & Experience
Educational Background 🎓
- Secondary Education is mandatory.
Professional Experience 🧳
- At least 2 years of safe driving experience.
- Good knowledge of driving rules within Jerusalem and the West Bank.
- Ability to work with UN and international organizations is a plus.
- Computer skills, including email use.
- Basic vehicle repair skills are desirable.
Language Requirements 🗣️
- Fluent in Arabic.
- Working knowledge of English.
- Knowledge of Hebrew is an asset.
