About Queens Community House
Established in 1975 as Forest Hills Community House, QCH was created to foster healing after neighborhood conflicts. Over the decades, we have grown to operate 25 program sites across 11 neighborhoods, supporting residents of all ages, races, faiths, and ethnicities, and strengthening the vitality of Queens as a whole.
Friendly Visiting Program 🤝
Our Friendly Visiting Program connects homebound older adults with compassionate volunteers, fostering intergenerational friendships in Western, Central, and Southeast Queens. This initiative aims to combat senior isolation and loneliness while enriching the lives of both seniors and volunteers.

Volunteer Requirements ✅
- Be 18 years or older
- Commit to volunteering for at least 6 months
- Pass a background check
- Be open to making in-person visits or phone calls upon approval
