Current Opportunity: Director of Procurement for a Leading Global Food Company 🌍

We are collaborating with a prominent international food organization seeking an experienced Director of Procurement. This vital leadership position oversees supplier development, sourcing strategies, and procurement operations, ensuring supply chain reliability, cost efficiency, and top-tier quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Procurement & Supplier Management 🛠️

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to maximize cost-effectiveness, quality, and reliability.
• Identify, evaluate, and nurture relationships with key suppliers to optimize performance.
• Lead contract negotiations to secure favorable pricing, terms, and service agreements.
• Monitor global market trends and supplier landscapes to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Drive efforts to diversify suppliers, enhancing sourcing resilience.

Operational Excellence & Inventory Management ⚙️

• Align procurement activities with demand planning, logistics, and distribution functions.
• Implement best practices in inventory management across multiple distribution centers.
• Establish and track KPIs for supplier performance, such as lead times, fill rates, and compliance.
• Enhance supply chain efficiency by integrating advanced procurement technologies and methodologies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Compliance 🤝

• Partner with internal teams—including product development, operations, finance, and quality assurance—to align procurement with business goals.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, ethical sourcing policies, and sustainability initiatives.
• Support new product innovation, market testing, and strategic initiatives from a supply chain perspective.
• Maintain clear communication channels with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Skills & Abilities 🧠

• Proven leadership in procurement, supply chain management, or operations.
• Expertise in negotiation and contract management.
• Deep knowledge of international sourcing, especially in Central and South America.
• Experience with demand forecasting, inventory planning, and supplier performance metrics.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 40%.
• Bilingual fluency in English & Spanish preferred.

Qualifications & Experience 🎓

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related; Master’s preferred.
• Experience: 10+ years in procurement, sourcing, or operations within the fresh produce, frozen food, or CPG industry.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM tools, and procurement analytics platforms.
