Position Overview 🎯
The Director of Operations will lead regional efforts by collaborating with District Managers to ensure exceptional customer service, meet operational goals, and adhere to company policies. Key responsibilities include motivating and training team members, developing qualified personnel, and driving regional growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities 📝
- Ensure all stores provide outstanding customer service and foster strong customer relationships.
- Resolve and document customer complaints efficiently.
- Ensure all team members comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements such as Customer Information Program and Customer Due Diligence.
- Verify state-level processes and ensure store compliance within respective states.
- Guide District Managers in addressing AML, CTF, or sanctions issues identified by audits or regulators.
- Coach District Managers to set weekly and monthly performance goals.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve regional performance, market share, and revenue.
- Collaborate on annual budgeting with District Managers.
- Analyze financial statements, identify variances, and implement corrective actions.
- Partner with HR to ensure proper staffing, training, and development initiatives.
- Forecast monthly revenues, account gains, and manage bad debt.
- Make decisions on large check-cashing transactions.
- Regularly visit stores to ensure operational consistency and compliance.
- Oversee staffing, training, and ongoing development of team members.
- Create career growth plans and monitor employee development.
- Address employee concerns and escalate issues when necessary.
- Ensure timely response to audits and internal requests.
- Represent PLS® professionally and enthusiastically in all interactions.
- Recommend new store locations and oversee new store openings.
- Support resolution of accounting, legal, and customer service issues in collaboration with corporate departments.
- Approve payroll and oversee store environment standards.
- Implement local marketing initiatives and store promotions.
- Perform additional duties assigned by management.
Qualifications & Requirements 🎓
- Minimum of 8 years of multi-unit or regional management experience, preferably in retail, financial, restaurant, or hospitality sectors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Outgoing, energetic, with a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Strong customer service and personnel management skills.
- Experience in collections and working with computers.
- Honest, with high integrity and reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements 💪
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Regular travel to store locations is required.
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs with minimal assistance.
