Healthy Smiles is looking for a dedicated Full-Time Director of Operations & Compliance to oversee the daily management, staffing, and expansion of our school-based dental program across New York State. This leadership role is perfect for someone organized, professional, and comfortable working directly in educational environments to ensure smooth, compliant operations and team growth. 🚀

We provide preventive dental care directly in schools to children across New York State, fostering healthier smiles and improved habits in young populations.

Role Overview

This position acts as the face of our organization within schools, maintaining operational excellence, building relationships, and leading a team of dental professionals and support staff. It also involves expansion into new markets and regions.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily school operations: scheduling, staffing, logistics, and execution
• Represent Healthy Smiles: serve as the primary liaison with schools and districts
• Build relationships: collaborate with principals, administrators, and school staff
• Staff recruitment and onboarding: hiring dentists, hygienists, assistants, and support staff
• Maintain staffing levels: ensure adequate coverage for all visits and expansion efforts
• Ensure compliance: adhere to internal policies, healthcare regulations, and school requirements
• Manage staff documentation: credentials, readiness, and records
• Issue resolution: handle field problems swiftly and professionally
• Support growth: facilitate launch and expansion across new regions in NY
• Community engagement: attend school events and back-to-school nights as needed

Schedule

• Full-time, Monday through Friday
• No weekends
• Some evenings at the start of the school year for events

Location & Travel

• Based in New City, NY when not traveling
• Regular travel throughout New York State required
• Overnight and multi-day trips, especially upstate, are part of the role

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Spanish (required)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Experience in staff hiring or management
• Highly organized and dependable
• Comfortable with frequent travel
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work independently and make decisions confidently

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare, dental, or multi-location operations
• Background in compliance or regulated environments
• Experience working with schools or community organizations

Compensation & Requirements

• Pay: $65,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
• Language: Fluent in Spanish (required)
• Travel: Willingness to travel 50% of the time (required)
