Your Role as Director, Hospitality 🧑‍💼

You will lead the entire food & beverage (F&B) experience and premium services, ensuring world-class standards across concessions, suites, catering, clubs, retail, and special events. Your leadership will focus on operational excellence, revenue growth, and brand consistency while promoting a culture of outstanding service and innovation.

Responsibilities & Areas of Focus

🔑 Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement hospitality strategies aligned with organizational goals and guest experience standards
  • Partner with external vendors (e.g., Delaware North) for seamless operations
  • Collaborate with department heads such as Ticket Sales & Service, Events, Corporate Partnerships, Community Affairs, Legal, and Ballpark Operations to meet revenue objectives

🎯 Operational Oversight

  • Manage premium spaces, clubs, and suites ensuring high-quality service and efficiency
  • Oversee food & beverage programs, including seasonal concepts and special activations
  • Lead projects integrating branded concepts into Petco Park, coordinating with vendors and operations teams for successful execution

💰 Financial Management

  • Maximize revenue through pricing strategies, menu innovation, and premium offerings
  • Monitor budgets, labor costs, and vendor performance to ensure profitability
  • Oversee business plans, capital expenditures, financial audits, and vendor RFP processes

🌟 Guest Experience

  • Supervise the DNC Management Team to maintain positive client and guest relations and uphold SDP standards
  • Partner with Padres Strategy & Analytics to establish measurement and survey systems tracking success metrics like revenue, transaction size, and customer satisfaction
  • Work with SDP Guest Experience to implement and track service standards, guest surveys, and response programs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge & Skills 🌟

  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and office equipment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of handling multiple projects
  • Discretion, integrity, professionalism, and reliability

Qualifications & Requirements ✅

  • At least 18 years old at the start of employment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field
  • Minimum of 7 years leadership experience in hospitality or sports/entertainment venues
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and integrate diverse responsibilities
  • Knowledge of global hospitality trends and new technology platforms (e.g., POS systems)
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel as needed
  • Physical ability to access various areas of the ballpark and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Successful completion of pre-employment screening, including background checks

Compensation & Benefits 💼

The salary for this position ranges from $105,000 to $118,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional compensation includes a discretionary bonus based on goal achievement.
