Position Overview
The Knights of Columbus Marketing and Customer Experience Team is seeking a French (Canada) Website Content & Localization Specialist to support the migration, translation, and quality assurance of content for the new French website.
Reporting to the Localization Manager, this role intersects Marketing, IT, Communications, Insurance Operations, and Fraternal Mission, ensuring that French-language content aligns with enterprise priorities, supports revenue-generating units, and offers a first-class digital experience aligned with our organizational mission.
This initial position is a six-month contract with performance benchmarks, with the potential for full-time employment based on results achieved during this period.
Core Responsibilities 📋
- Assist in Website Migration: Collaborate hands-on to transfer all French-language website content into the new digital platform, ensuring accuracy, functionality, and brand consistency.
- Quality Assurance & Testing: Conduct linguistic QA, functional testing, and user acceptance testing for web pages, forms, assets, and applications in French.
- Content Compliance: Ensure all content adheres to Knights of Columbus French (Canada) style guidelines and approved terminology across faith, fraternal, insurance, and investment sectors.
- Content Development & Optimization: Identify gaps and opportunities, co-create content, and refine French-language materials for clarity, cultural relevance, and improved customer experience.
- Collaboration for SEO & UX: Work with UI/UX and SEO teams to meet standards for metadata, schema, and on-page elements in French.
- Progress & Metrics Reporting: Track and report migration progress, quality metrics, risks, and remediation strategies to leadership.
Skills & Qualifications ⭐
Required
- Native or near-native proficiency in French (Canada) and professional fluency in English
- Experience in website migration, CMS implementation, or digital platform transitions
- Knowledge of localization workflows, translation memory, and terminology management
- Experience with linguistic QA and functional testing in multilingual environments
- Strong copy adaptation and editing capabilities within a structured brand environment
- Familiarity with SEO best practices in multilingual digital ecosystems
- Effective project management and cross-team coordination skills
Preferred
- Experience in financial services, insurance, or mission-driven nonprofit organizations
- Knowledge of Catholic Church terminology and faith-based communication
- Experience with Optimizely, Marketo, DAM, or enterprise CMS platforms
Educational Background 🎓
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Localization, Translation, Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Information Systems, or related field
- Minimum of three years’ experience in localization, multilingual digital marketing, website management, or customer service
Preferred
- Master’s degree in Localization, International Marketing, Digital Strategy, or Customer Experience
- Formal certification in localization project management
- Experience supporting enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives
- Knowledge of Catholic teachings and the Knights of Columbus organization
- Passion for creative, collaborative, and data-driven teamwork
- Dedication to delivering exceptional customer experiences in local markets
