The Knights of Columbus Marketing and Customer Experience Team is looking for a dedicated French (Canada) Website Content & Localization Specialist to support the migration, translation, and quality assurance of content for our new French website.
About the Role
Reporting to the Localization Manager, this position bridges Marketing, IT, Communications, Insurance Operations, and our Fraternal Mission. Your work will ensure that French-language content aligns with enterprise priorities, drives revenue, and provides an excellent digital experience consistent with the Knights of Columbus mission.
This is a six-month contract position with clear performance benchmarks, with the potential for full-time employment based on measurable results.
Core Responsibilities 🔧
- Assist with Migration: Help in migrating all French-language website content into the new digital platform, ensuring accuracy, functionality, and brand consistency.
- Quality Assurance & Testing: Conduct linguistic QA, functional testing, and user acceptance testing for web pages, forms, and applications in French.
- Style & Terminology Compliance: Ensure adherence to Knights of Columbus French (Canada) style guidelines and approved terminology across faith, fraternal, insurance, and investment content.
- Content Enhancement: Identify gaps and opportunities to adapt and refine French content to improve clarity, cultural relevance, and customer experience for French-speaking audiences.
- Collaboration with UI/UX & SEO Teams: Work together to optimize French metadata, schemas, and on-page parameters according to current standards.
- Progress & Metrics Tracking: Monitor migration progress, quality metrics, potential risks, and develop remediation plans, reporting findings to leadership.
Skills & Qualifications Required ✅
- Language Proficiency: Native or near-native in French (Canada); professional fluency in English.
- Digital Experience: Proven experience in website migration, CMS implementation, or transitioning digital platforms.
- Localization Expertise: Strong understanding of workflows, translation memory, and terminology management.
- Quality & Functional Testing: Experience in linguistic QA and functional testing within multilingual environments.
- Copy & Content Skills: Skilled in copy adaptation and editing within structured brand guidelines.
- SEO Knowledge: Familiarity with best practices for multilingual digital ecosystems.
- Project Coordination: Effective project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications 🌟
- Experience within financial services, insurance, or mission-driven nonprofits.
- Knowledge of Catholic Church terminology and faith-based communications.
- Experience with tools like Optimizely, Marketo, DAM, or enterprise-level CMS platforms.
Educational Background 🎓
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Localization, Translation, Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Information Systems, or related fields; minimum three years’ experience in localization, multilingual digital marketing, website management, or customer service.
- Preferred: Master’s degree in Localization, International Marketing, Digital Strategy, or Customer Experience; formal certification in localization project management; experience supporting enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives. Familiarity with Catholic teachings and Knights of Columbus history is a plus.
