Position: DevOps Engineer (Bilingual in Mandarin)

Location: New York

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced DevOps Engineer to lead the administration of our AWS cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and database environments. This role demands deep expertise in AWS services (including multi-account structures, SSO, and Organizations), hands-on experience with MongoDB clusters, MySQL/Aurora, and proficiency in CI/CD tools such as TeamCity and Git. You will automate deployments, optimize system reliability and performance, and support a complex ecosystem of services and databases. The ideal candidate is well-versed in modern DevOps practices, including Infrastructure as Code, proactive monitoring, security automation, and collaborates effectively with global teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing infrastructure. 🌐

Key Responsibilities

AWS Infrastructure & Identity Management

• Manage AWS Organization structures, including AWS Single Sign-On, roles, and permissions.
• Implement best practices for identity, account, and permission management.
• Optimize resource usage through tagging, lifecycle policies, and instance sizing for cost savings.

Advanced AWS Networking & Security

• Operate and troubleshoot components like AWS CloudFront, API Gateway, Load Balancers, and Firewalls.
• Configure and secure VPC environments, handle network security configurations.
• Troubleshoot network-related issues promptly.

Infrastructure as Code

• Manage infrastructure using Terraform within AWS environments, handling large-scale deployments.

Database Management: MongoDB, MySQL, Aurora

• Manage and fine-tune database clusters, perform upgrades, backups, replication, and performance tuning.
• Handle TLS configurations and coordinate cross-environment migrations.
• Maintain access controls, optimize queries, and monitor database health with Ops Manager and AWS tools.

CI/CD & Automation

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines utilizing Bitbucket Pipelines and TeamCity.
• Automate build, test, deploy processes with rollback and health check features.

Monitoring & Observability

• Set up comprehensive monitoring using CloudWatch and Uptime Kuma.
• Implement log aggregation and alerting for AWS services, databases, and applications.

Security & Compliance

• Enforce security standards like TLS/SSL in compliance with PCI-DSS and internal policies.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and collaborate with cybersecurity teams.
• Manage IAM roles, access policies, and audit trails.

Collaboration & Support

• Work closely with development, QA, and global infrastructure teams.
• Provide documentation, onboarding, and support for systems and pipelines.
• Participate in on-call rotations and lead incident response activities.

Work Schedule

Onsite: 3 days a week (Tuesday to Thursday)

Required Qualifications

• At least 5+ years in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or SRE roles.
• Deep expertise with AWS services including SSO, Organizations, EC2, IAM, S3, and multi-account management.
• Hands-on experience with CloudFront, API Gateway, ALB, NLB, and WAF.
• Proven experience managing MongoDB clusters (EC2-based and Atlas).
• Strong SQL database administration skills with MySQL and Postgres.
• Proficiency with CI/CD workflows using TeamCity and Bitbucket Pipelines.
• Experience with Linux, Docker, and scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and Node.js.
• Monitoring experience with CloudWatch, Datadog, and Uptime Kuma.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience managing TLS certificates, DNS, and secure network routing.
• Excellent documentation and cross-team collaboration skills.
• Fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
