All Voting is Local is seeking a passionate and experienced Development Manager to lead and support our vital fundraising efforts, ensuring we continue to expand voter access and uphold election integrity for marginalized communities across the nation.
About Us π
All Voting is Local is a 501(c)(3) nonpartisan organization dedicated to protecting voting rights. We collaborate year-round with partners to prevent partisan interference, promote fair voter registration rules, and eliminate barriers that hinder voting, especially for Black, Brown, Native American, and other marginalized communities.
As a multi-state organization with a national presence, we connect local voices with national advocacy efforts, shaping policies around voter access. Our affiliate, All Voting is Local Action, advocates for legislative priorities to expand voter access and prevent interference.
Active in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, we helped over 13 million voters gain access during the 2024 cycle.
Position Summary π―
We are looking for a Development Manager to oversee and enhance our development and fundraising initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Development, this role is crucial in streamlining operational processes, facilitating impactful donor relations, and building a robust donor pipeline. The position offers the flexibility of remote work with potential travel requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities π
Project Management ποΈ
- Organize and manage fundraising projects across the All Voting team.
- Execute development deliverables, run meetings with stakeholders, and ensure timely progress in a fast-paced environment.
Data Orientation π
- Develop KPIs to monitor and improve fundraising efforts.
- Translate data insights into narratives to troubleshoot challenges and foster innovative solutions.
Database Management π»
- Oversee daily operations of Bonterra/EveryAction databases.
- Maintain accurate donor records, gift tracking, and campaign data.
- Conduct database audits and ensure data integrity.
- Develop policies, procedures, and training materials for data management.
Gift Processing π
- Process donations and send timely tax acknowledgment letters (within three days).
Donor Engagement & Cross-Functional Support π€
- Manage segmentation and tracking for donor communications and appeals.
- Create tailored materials for donor meetings, events, and stewardship activities.
- Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Communications, and program teams to align efforts and ensure compliance.
- Design and refine internal fundraising systems and processes.
- Develop and implement regular donor stewardship communications.
- Prepare research, memos, and meeting materials for development-related engagements.
Minimum Requirements β
- 4+ years of overall experience with at least 2+ years managing systems, processes, and practices.
- Passion for voting rights, civil rights, and state-based initiatives.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
- Ability to develop KPIs and analyze data to inform strategies.
- Strong organizational and project management skills across diverse teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
Desired Qualifications π
- Experience with development strategies targeting high-net-worth individuals and foundations.
- Knowledge of fundraising principles like gift processing and donor stewardship.
- Skilled in creating database queries, reports, and dashboards.
- Experience in staff training on CRM systems.
- College degree or equivalent work experience.
