Job Overview
As Deputy Director at FOA, you’ll be at the forefront of our mission, working closely with the Executive Director to develop and implement strategic initiatives in operations, outreach, and fundraising. You will represent FOA at various meetings, events, and forums, pitching our mission to potential supporters. Collaborating with a dedicated team, you will help launch impactful campaigns, broaden our outreach, and establish enduring partnerships. This role is ideal for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset and excellent skills in fundraising and management. The position is flexible in terms of full-time or part-time engagement, and it is remote-friendly.
Responsibilities
- Oversee FOA’s operations: Serve as a liaison between the Executive Director and the team, working with members and contractors to implement successful campaigns and programs.
- Lead revenue generation: Drive long-term program funding by engaging potential donors, partners, and stakeholders, and promoting workshops, educational initiatives, and fundraising opportunities.
- Expand partnerships: Build and nurture relationships with communities, federations, schools, and Jewish organizations internationally.
- Represent FOA: Speak at engagements, media events, coalition meetings, and public forums to advocate for our mission.
- Measure impact: Develop metrics to track progress and ensure alignment with FOA’s goals.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years of managerial experience with a proven track record in leading teams through successful marketing and fundraising campaigns.
- Relationship-building skills: Strong expertise in outreach and sales, with experience engaging diverse stakeholders.
- Partnership development: Ability to build and secure collaborative relationships with Jewish organizations across North America.
- Languages: Fluent in English and Hebrew, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Public speaking: Skilled in delivering speeches, media interviews, and leading educational lectures.
