Customer Service Representative Responsibilities

  • Assist customers inside and outside the U-Haul center with products and services
  • Manage rentals and inventory using smartphone-based U-Scan technology
  • Move, hook up, and inspect U-Haul trucks and trailers
  • Clean and inspect equipment, checking fluid levels
  • Answer questions and educate customers about our offerings
  • Prepare rental invoices and process equipment returns
  • Install hitches and trailer wiring
  • Fill propane (certification provided upon employment)
  • Operate a forklift (certification offered upon employment)
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Participate in continuous learning through U-Haul University

Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bilingual proficiency

Work Environment & Physical Demands

The role involves moderate risks and safety precautions, including working around moving parts, fumes, or chemicals. Protective gear may be required. Physically, the job may require:

  • Long periods of remaining stationary
  • Moving indoors and outdoors
  • Reaching objects at various heights
  • Lifting equipment weighing up to 50 lbs., assisted or unassisted
