Exciting Contract Customer Service Opportunity — Remote with Potential for Permanent Placement

Join a dynamic team as a bilingual (French-English) Customer Service Representative, working remotely with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role based in Port Washington, NY.

Job Details

  • Job Type: Contract (with Temp-to-Perm potential)
  • Location: Remote - Currently temporary; must be within 1-hour drive of Port Washington, NY
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Duration: Ongoing, with potential for permanent/full-time conversion after 6 months to 1 year
  • Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 11:00 AM–7:15 PM EST
  • Training Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM EST (for 2 weeks, 35 hours/week)
  • Compensation:
    • English-Speaking Candidates: $17.50/hour
    • Bilingual French-English Candidates: $20.00/hour

Key Responsibilities 📝

  • Answer incoming calls and process customer orders.
  • Resolve customer issues and complaints professionally.
  • Document interactions and categorize calls accurately.
  • Provide updates on order and shipping statuses, as well as stock availability.
  • Maintain high service standards and uphold client expectations.
  • Handle a high volume of inbound calls (up to 90% of shift).

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1+ year experience in customer service, call centers, or hospitality environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong telephone etiquette and computer navigation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and internet tools.
  • Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.

Preferred 🌟

  • Bilingual (French-English).
  • College degree.
  • SAP software experience.
  • Background in the optical industry or familiarity with eyewear products.

Work-From-Home Requirements 🏠

  • Wired internet connection (no Wi-Fi).
  • Desk or table near power source and router.
  • Quiet, distraction-free environment.
  • Willingness to transport and set up equipment per guidance.
