Position Overview
We are hiring for the role of Customer Service Agent (CSA) at the Regional Campuses - Freedom Aquatic & Fitness Center. This is a part-time, hourly position located on-site, providing vital support at one of Northern Virginia's largest aquatic and fitness centers.
Location & Schedule
- Location: Manassas, VA / Sci-Tech campus
- Workplace: On Site Required
- Available Shifts:
- Early weekday mornings (4:45am - 10:00am) on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays
- Daytime weekday shifts (typically 10am - 4pm on various days)
About the Facility
The Freedom Aquatic & Fitness Center opened in September 1999 and spans 110,000 square feet, making it one of the largest facilities of its kind in Northern Virginia. Located on the Science and Technology campus of George Mason University, the center offers:
- 50-meter competition pool
- Leisure pool & whirlpool
- Locker facilities & family locker rooms
- Gymnasium with two practice courts
- Cardiovascular and strength training equipment
- Group fitness, mind/body, and spin studios
- Three racquetball/activity courts
- Community room & classroom
- Outdoor field & sand volleyball court
Key Responsibilities
The Customer Service Agents (CSAs) form the heart of the Freedom Center's Customer Service Department, often called the front desk. Their primary duties include:
- Greeting and check-in: Providing a friendly welcome to members and guests
- Membership & Program Registration: Explaining, processing, and assisting with registration requests
- Class & Reservation Scheduling: Managing Group-X classes, swim-lane reservations, and on-site childcare check-in
- Effective Communication: Collaborating with all departments to direct members effectively
- Training & Membership Processing: Ensuring proficiency in Fusion or other systems for membership management
Qualifications & Expectations
- Previous experience in customer service, cash handling, and working with computer/database systems
- Excellent communication skills to interact respectfully with a diverse community
- Willingness to work up to 29 hours per week if needed
- Availability for alternating weekend shifts and daytime/evening hours
