About the Role

As a Customer Onboarding Specialist, you will ensure a seamless and successful onboarding experience for new Crowded customers. You will act as the main point of contact for mid-market clients, leading strategic onboarding sessions, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and working directly with key decision-makers and end-users. Your efforts will be vital in maximizing platform utilization and boosting customer retention and satisfaction. This role requires a proactive, customer-focused mindset, outstanding communication skills, and a deep understanding of SaaS onboarding best practices.

The role encompasses handling new customer setup, working with internal teams for advanced tasks, providing training sessions, and sharing essential onboarding materials. After onboarding, customers transition to our Customer Success team to ensure they succeed long-term. Success in this role involves superb project management, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Onboarding & Implementation

  • 🔑 Lead onboarding as the primary contact for mid-market customers throughout the process.
  • 🤝 Join kick-off calls, collaborating with customers to understand their goals, needs, and requirements.
  • 🗓️ Create and manage timelines for customer setup.
  • 🚀 Handle account activation post-signup and assist in account setup.
  • 📈 Coordinate with internal teams to request marketing materials, technical updates, and other tasks.

Customer Training & Enablement

  • 🎓 Conduct one-on-one or group technical training sessions to ensure customer operation confidence.
  • ✅ Support active use of Crowded end-users and promote continuous learning through follow-ups and best practices.
  • 📚 Maintain and update training guides; develop new materials based on customer needs.
  • 🔄 Improve onboarding experience by incorporating customer feedback and product evolution.
  • 📊 Track and report onboarding metrics using Salesforce.

Collaboration & Communication

  • 📝 Manage clear communication with customers and internal teams to ensure progress.
  • ⚠️ Identify and escalate risks early, collaborating cross-functionally as needed.
  • 🤝 Build strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.

Handoff & Continuous Improvement

  • 🔄 Transition customers to the Customer Success team within 90 days.
  • 🚀 Identify opportunities to streamline onboarding, reduce duration, and boost efficiency.
  • 💡 Provide feedback to internal teams to address technical challenges and feature requests.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • 🎓 Bachelor’s degree
  • 🧑‍💼 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing B2B role
  • ⏰ Proven ability to manage multiple onboardings and meet deadlines
  • 📅 Strong project management skills with attention to detail
  • 💬 Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficient in email, phone, and video calls
  • 📝 Experience developing onboarding materials and process improvements
  • 🛠️ Technical onboarding experience
  • 🌐 Familiarity with modern web tools, project management platforms, and documentation software

Preferred Skills:

  • 💻 Experience in Fintech or SaaS platforms
  • 📈 Knowledge of onboarding KPIs and quality metrics
  • ⚡ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment with shifting priorities
  • 🤝 Experience working with nonprofits, associations, and clubs
  • 🗣️ Fluent in Hebrew or Spanish
