Customer Service Role at Benjamin Moore
Our Customer Service team members represent the Benjamin Moore brand by delivering best-in-class customer experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for people, maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude. Flexibility, mindfulness, and humility are key qualities we seek.
They will work effectively with customers and colleagues from diverse backgrounds to achieve shared goals.
Qualifications
- 🇨🇦 Bilingual in Canadian French
- ▶️ Commutable to either the Montreal office or Flanders, NJ office 4 days per week (this is not a remote role)
- 🗣️ Minimum of 2 years customer contact center experience preferred
- 💼 Strong customer service focus and organizational skills
- 📝 Excellent verbal, written, and telephone communication skills
- 🖥️ Advanced knowledge of Windows, MS Office Suite, and web browsers
- 🔧 Ability to multi-task with keyboarding and phone skills
- 🤝 Ability to work well in a team environment
- ⏰ Flexibility to work occasional overtime
- 🧩 Effective problem-solving abilities and information synthesis skills
Responsibilities
- 🔄 Stay updated on all platforms used for sales and order placement
- 🛍️ Support retailers with their online activities
- 📖 Embrace change and apply new training knowledge regularly
- ✅ Achieve proficiency with company policies regarding promotions, freight, and product info
- 📦 Provide customers with information about orders, delivery, product availability, pricing, and promotions
- 🤝 Coordinate with Logistics to handle special delivery requirements and resolve product availability issues
- 😊 Maintain a cheerful demeanor and build strong relationships with customers and colleagues
- 🎨 Exercise creativity and flexibility to meet customer experience expectations
- 🔍 Handle inquiries and complaints effectively, escalating issues when necessary
- 📞 Deliver exceptional customer service via phone and written communication
- 🌟 Demonstrate emotional intelligence, working effectively with diverse individuals and seeking feedback for growth
- 🖱️ Navigate systems, procedures, and resources to provide accurate and prompt resolutions
- 🗂️ Prioritize and manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines
- 🔧 Perform additional duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
- 💺 Prolonged desk work on a computer
- 📦 Ability to lift up to 15 lbs. occasionally (e.g., files, boxes of documents)
- ✍️ Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents
- 👀 Visual activity for reviewing documents, spreadsheets, and screens
- 🚶♂️ Occasional standing, walking, and reaching within the office environment
- ✈️ Ability to travel as needed
