The Opportunity 🎯

Become a vital part of the team behind our cutting-edge language training courses. Your work will involve developing engaging eLearning tools, interactive lectures, team exercises, readings, case studies, role plays, and practical demonstrations. These materials will mirror the real tasks faced by language analysts and be regularly updated to meet client requirements.

In collaboration with language instructors and fellow developers, you'll design, develop, and document language and domain-specific training resources. You'll also create practical evaluations to measure student mastery and performance objectives, ensuring effective learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities 📝

• Operational Requirements: Clarify and document customer needs, training objectives, and language proficiency levels.
• Requirement Prioritization: Assist in determining the development focus for training materials.
• Resource Research: Leverage classified and unclassified language resources for authentic content.
• Material Development: Create transcription, translation, and analysis exercises based on operational tasks.
• Collaboration: Work with instructors and developers to design and document training materials.
• Technology Utilization: Use tools like Audacity, Adobe Creative Suite, and Premiere to craft blended learning modules.
• Expert Engagement: Collaborate with SIGINT operations and other technical experts for resource development.
• Evaluation: Develop assessments to validate student proficiency.
• Tools & Applications: Recommend learning applications and tools to improve training delivery.

Qualifications 📚

• Education: B.A./B.S. in Language, Area Studies, Education, ISTD, or related fields.
• Language Proficiency:
  • Native proficiency with ILR level 4 in reading, listening, and speaking in Russian, and ILR level 2 in English, or
  • Native proficiency in English with ILR level 3 in Russian skills. Documentation must be recent (within last 3 years).
• Experience:
  • At least 5 years in the intelligence community or SIGINT as a language analyst or instructor.
  • Minimum 2 years of recent practical experience developing language training materials following ISD principles.
  • If lacking relevant degree, 9 years of applicable experience in language education or analysis can substitute.
  • 1 year typing experience in both English and Russian using appropriate fonts and software.
  • 1 year of recent experience with instructional systems design, web-based learning, or distance education technologies (e.g., Blackboard, Questionmark).

Desired Skills ✨

Compensation & Benefits 💼

The salary range for this position is $78,700 – $165,200. Final salary is influenced by location, experience, skills, certifications, and other factors.
