Seeking a dedicated professional to originate loans and deliver exceptional financial solutions within our vibrant financial center.

Job Overview

This role involves originating residential mortgage loans for clients and serving as the primary lending specialist within the bank's financial center. You will deliver products such as First Mortgages, HELOCs, Auto Loans, Credit Cards, and other Core Banking solutions. The position requires balancing sales goals, operational risk, and client relationship management.

Note: This position may involve residential mortgage loan origination, which mandates compliance with SAFE Act registration requirements. All individuals involved must complete and maintain registration, and submit to necessary background checks. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action including termination.

Responsibilities

  • Client Service & Guidance: Offer personalized advice across the full spectrum of borrowing and banking products, supporting clients through each stage of their financial journey.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and deepen relationships by leveraging the bank's capabilities with both new and existing clients.
  • Financial Needs Analysis: Assess client financial situations and recommend suitable borrowing and banking solutions tailored to their priorities.
  • Mortgage Presentation & Processing: Present home lending products, assist with mortgage applications, gather supporting documentation, and keep clients informed through outbound calls, emails, and online messaging.
  • Outreach & Pipeline Management: Engage clients proactively, manage the pipeline, and conduct follow-ups to ensure client needs are met.
  • Client Requests & Referrals: Respond promptly and refer clients to internal partners when appropriate.
  • Team Collaboration & Coaching: Work with branch leaders, performance managers, and market executives to deliver outstanding client experiences and mentor team members.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in mortgage origination or related fields, with proven abilities in assessing client needs, building trust, and consultative sales.
  • Customer Focus: Actively listen to and understand client goals; engage proactively.
  • Communication Skills: Confident, professional, and effective in both in-person and phone interactions.
  • Analytical Skills: Critically analyze financial and credit data to advise clients on products and gather necessary information.
  • Customer Service: Manage end-to-end client experience and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Flexibility & Adaptability: Handle ambiguity and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Work Ethic & Enthusiasm: Driven, dedicated, and performance-oriented with a strong work ethic.
  • Availability: Willing to work weekends and extended hours if needed.
  • Team Player: Collaborate effectively internally and externally, translating experience into productive relationships.
  • Technology Proficiency: Capable of learning and using relevant banking technology.
  • Professional Ethics & Compliance: Uphold regulatory standards and conduct thorough due diligence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Loan Origination Experience: In a retail environment, especially with Mortgage products such as Conventional, Jumbo, HELOC, and Government loans.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of credit requirements and home lending regulations.
  • Performance Track Record: Consistently meet or exceed goals in a financial center setting.
  • Financial Analysis: Ability to interpret complex financial data effectively.
