EOS Accountants Is Hiring A Corporate Tax Manager

Join our team as a Tax Manager - Japanese Required, where you will play a vital role in managing complex tax projects, client relationships, and team development while working in a dynamic environment. 🌟

Position Overview

Employment Type: Full-Time (40 hours/week) / Exempt

Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000

Position Description 📝

The Tax Manager is responsible for preparing tax returns, tax provisions, transfer pricing, and providing tax consultation services to clients. As a key member of the engagement team, you will often serve as the primary client contact, developing tax strategies and policies tailored to client operations and transactions. Additionally, you will lead internal and external training sessions to foster the professional growth of tax Staff and Senior accountants.

Responsibilities 🎯

  • Utilize academic training and professional experience to review complex tax returns, including corporate, dual-status, expatriate individual, and partnership filings.
  • Review client correspondence to federal and state taxing authorities regarding intricate tax issues and directly liaise with tax auditors on clients' behalf.
  • Research and interpret tax laws related to various client transactions, audits, and filings; review research conducted by Staff and Seniors.
  • Analyze transfer pricing studies and prepare detailed transfer pricing analysis reports.
  • Review and prepare complex tax provisions for financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Lead client meetings, respond promptly to inquiries, and provide comprehensive tax advice to enhance client satisfaction.
  • Serve as the main contact for clients, ensuring service quality and identifying opportunities for additional services.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing to foster strong business relationships.
  • Maintain a broad and deep understanding of tax concepts, stay current with tax developments, and develop expertise in specialized areas.
  • Manage multiple engagement projects simultaneously, overseeing own work as well as coordinating with Staff and Seniors to meet deadlines and budgets.
  • Promote a respectful and collaborative work environment within a diverse team.
  • Ensure effective use of technology in engagement activities.
  • Motivate, train, and coach Staff and Seniors for professional growth.
  • Review team members' work, providing timely performance feedback and guidance.

Qualifications ✅

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, with a focus on tax, from an accredited college or university.
  • CPA or EA license.
  • At least 5 years of tax service experience in public accounting.
  • Experience preparing tax returns for individuals, businesses, benefit funds, real estate, and exempt organizations.
  • Tax Manager experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in tax software, Excel, and Word.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Business-level proficiency in English required; dual business proficiency in Japanese is required.
  • Detail-oriented with strong multi-tasking abilities.
