About The Role

As a Copywriter within the Marketing Creative team, you will craft compelling stories that resonate with diverse audiences across countries and cultures. You’ll bring an insight-driven approach to creating engaging content for static ads, videos, and digital campaigns on platforms like YouTube, TikTok, Meta, and more.

This role requires a storyteller who understands business impact, takes accountability, and continuously strives for more effective and innovative work.

You Will

  • Ensure all copy: Is insight- and data-driven, on-brand, and results-focused.
  • Build understanding: Develop a deep knowledge of audiences in the Philippines, Latin America, India, and others to craft highly relevant messaging.
  • Present & defend: Share your work confidently with stakeholders, backed by reasoning or data.
  • Maintain integrity: Own your copywriting expertise, set boundaries, and communicate with empathy.
  • Collaborate: Work with Project Management and Production teams to meet or exceed creative deliverables and timelines.
  • Align: Partner with marketers during the creative process to ensure work aligns with objectives.
  • Stay informed: Keep up with current trends, issues, and topics relevant to Remitly’s diverse audiences.
  • Coordinate externally: Provide constructive feedback to external partners when needed.
  • Adhere to guidelines: Understand legal restrictions and craft compliant messaging.
  • Be positive: Bring joy and a positive attitude to the Marketing team and Remitly as a whole.

You Have

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years as a copywriter in in-house creative teams or agencies.
  • Expertise: Consumer copywriting experience; digital brand experience preferred.
  • Knowledge: Best practices for mobile-first digital marketing and channel testing.
  • Interest: Passion for understanding creative performance and ways to improve it.
  • Autonomy: Ability to manage workload independently.
  • Collaboration: Effectively work with peers, managers, and executives.
  • Balance: Skill in balancing brand and performance goals.
  • Communication: Clear articulation of your creative approach and reasoning.
  • Culture sensitivity: Appreciation for various cultures from the Philippines to Latin America.
  • Location & Language: Reside in Seattle, WA, with the ability to work in the office 3 days a week; bilingual in English and Spanish required.

Compensation & Benefits

The starting base salary for this role typically ranges from $112,000 to $130,000. As a U.S.-based employee, you will be a shareholder in Remitly, with equity included in your total compensation package. Additional details about medical and financial benefits will be shared by your recruiter.
