We are seeking an experienced and motivated German instructor to teach evening classes in our continuing education World Languages program at the Arnold campus this Fall.

• Salary Range: $46.90 per hour
• Work Mode: Hybrid of in-person and alternative locations depending on business needs
• Work Schedule: Evenings
• Position Type: Part-Time Faculty, Non-Exempt

Position Summary ✨

The Lifelong Learning Department invites applications for a part-time German instructor to facilitate evening classes in our World Languages program at Arnold campus this Fall. Candidates must have previous teaching experience. Selected candidates will be asked to deliver a short teaching demonstration during the interview. Please include your schedule availability and location preferences in your cover letter.

The instructor will follow the provided curriculum and learning expectations, with content managed in our Canvas Learning Management System. Essential qualifications include proficient German language skills, at least 3 years of teaching experience, basic computer skills, and the ability to manage a classroom effectively.

Job Duties & Responsibilities 📚

• Develop and implement daily lesson plans aligned with the college curriculum, policies, and guidelines.
• Provide engaging, high-quality instruction through lectures and practical activities, on campus, off-campus, or remotely, following Anne Arundel Community College standards.
• Maintain clear, professional, and timely communication with students, faculty, and staff to foster collaboration.
• Promptly and accurately submit grades, attendance, reports, and other documentation as required.

Required Qualifications ✅

• Bachelor's degree in German language studies or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching the German language

Additional Information ℹ️

Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis; visa sponsorship is not provided. Pay dates are on the 7th and 22nd of each month, with adjustments if those dates fall on weekends.
