NLACRC is a private, non-profit agency contracted with the California Department of Developmental Services. Since 1974, we have proudly served the San Fernando Valley, Santa Clarita Valley, and Antelope Valley, supporting individuals from infancy to aging adults across their lifespan. Supervision & Department 🔍
Reports to Consumer Services Supervisors and Managers within the Consumer Services - School Age department.
The Position & Job Summary 🎯
- Participate in developing individualized program plans, monitoring, evaluating, and revising as needed.
- Identify and coordinate services for individuals and their families.
- Complete documentation, forms, and reports adhering to regulations and NLACRC policies.
- Serve as an advocate for individuals with community agencies.
- Attend interdisciplinary meetings with individuals, families, service providers, and advocates.
- Recognize barriers to service delivery and implement culturally sensitive, empathetic strategies, especially in underserved and non-traditional settings.
- Rotate officer-of-the-day duties, assist with special projects, case coverage, and emergency on-call services when necessary.
Employment Standards ✅
Possess a Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, sociology, or related human services field, along with two years of relevant experience. A Master’s degree may substitute for experience.

- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word and MS Outlook.
Essential Requirements 🛠️
This is a community-based role requiring in-home, community, or office visits. Candidates must be comfortable working independently, engaging frequently via phone, virtual meetings, and outside office settings. A valid California Driver’s License and reliable transportation (or acceptable substitutes) are required.

Compensation 💰
This is a non-exempt position with a typical hourly salary ranging from $26.86 to $37.96, plus a bi-weekly bilingual service supplement of $69.24. The starting salary generally falls between $26.86 and $29.65, depending on experience and internal equity.
The exact offer will consider education, experience, skills, and other job-related factors. Candidates with extensive experience may be offered compensation at the higher end of the range.
