Job Summary
The Community Center Associate will work at one or more of Clever Care’s Medicare Community Centers. This role involves providing excellent customer service to members and seniors, representing Clever Care within the community, and maintaining the organization’s reputation. The position is customer-facing, with sales responsibilities, and aligns with our mission to deliver culturally-sensitive healthcare solutions.
Schedule: 40 hours/week, including some Saturdays.
Functions & Job Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service at community centers 😊
- Offer in-language support regarding benefits and care access
- Act as a Medicare Advisor with language support for community members' questions
- Schedule and coordinate health and wellness events, including logistics and planning 🎉
- Coordinate building repairs with the Facilities Manager
- Maintain inventory of equipment, supplies, and marketing materials
- Monitor traffic flow and service utilization 📊
- Perform routine equipment inspections for quality assurance
- Manage space for classes, activities, and trainings ensuring safety and cleanliness 🧹
- Develop programs and activities to add value to the center
- Participate in community events and showcase Clever Care benefits, including booths and sponsorships 🎪
- Assist with other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or equivalent experience
- At least 1 year of customer service experience
- Active California Life and Health Insurance License or ability to obtain within 2 months of hire
Preferred:
- Experience in healthcare, non-profits, or senior communities
- Event planning or coordination experience
- Experience working with ethnically diverse populations
Skills
- Bilingual proficiency in Vietnamese, Mandarin, Cantonese, or Korean (reading, speaking, writing) 🗣️
- Excellent customer service and experience serving seniors
- Strong presentation skills for small and large groups
- Passion for helping seniors access healthcare options
- Detail-oriented with excellent planning abilities ✅
- Reliable, dedicated, and organized
Wage Range 💵
$20 to $24 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Physical & Working Environment
- Ability to travel as needed ✈️
- Operate keyboard, mouse, phone; perform repetitive tasks
- Sit or stand for extended periods; lift up to 15 lbs
- Communicate effectively with staff and the public 🗨️
Work is performed in an office setting with frequent contact with staff and community members. Irregular hours may be required based on business needs.
