Position Overview
As a Community Advocate (Bilingual) at Verda Healthcare, you will:
- Build trust and create meaningful connections with seniors in Phoenix.
- Promote awareness of Verda Healthcare’s services and benefits.
- Facilitate enrollment and provide resources to support healthy, fulfilling lives for seniors.
- Drive membership growth by engaging community organizations, professionals, and residents.
- Coordinate community events, informational sessions, and workshops.
Key Responsibilities 📝
- Community Outreach & Relationship Building: Establish strong relationships with local organizations, contracted agents, and influencers to promote Verda Healthcare.
- Event Planning & Execution: Organize and lead community events, providing engaging presentations about healthcare benefits and enrollment processes.
- Compliance & Privacy: Ensure all outreach activities comply with healthcare regulations and safeguard Protected Health Information (PHI).
- Provider Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison with healthcare providers to support marketing and enrollment efforts.
- Community Engagement: Maintain ongoing communication with community and professional stakeholders to enhance Verda Healthcare’s presence and reputation.
- Additional Duties: Support broker, member, and prospective member activities as needed to promote growth and visibility.
Qualifications & Skills 🎯
- Experience: 2–3 years in community outreach, senior services, or healthcare marketing; Medicare experience is a plus.
- Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects and deliver presentations effectively.
- Knowledge: Understanding of elder healthcare challenges, Medicare options, and healthcare regulations such as HIPAA.
- Education: High school diploma required; degree in marketing, public health, or related field preferred.
- Certifications: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required. Health Insurance license is a plus.
- Language: Bilingual in English and Vietnamese or Chinese.
Working Conditions & Schedule 🚗🕘
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, with occasional evenings or weekends for community events.
- Travel: Regular travel within the Phoenix area for outreach and events.
- Environment: A mix of field activities, like home visits and events, and office-based tasks such as reporting and admin work.

Work Schedule & Location 🏢🚶♂️
- Full-time, onsite (when not traveling)
- Hours: 9am – 6pm, Monday to Friday, with weekend work as needed
- Occasional travel for meetings and training sessions
- Reliable commute or relocation plans required before start
Physical Demands 💪
Must be able to sit or walk at a workstation regularly and occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds. Other duties will support departmental goals as assigned.
