The Role: Commercial P&C Producer (Korean Language Specialist) 🎯
As a faith-aligned and results-driven sales professional, you will prospect and develop relationships with decision-makers, administrators, and boards within religious and nonprofit organizations. Your focus will be on distributing GuideStone’s proprietary P&C insurance products, managing carrier appointments, or brokered markets. This role emphasizes serving and developing relationships within Korean-speaking religious and nonprofit communities. It requires exceptional relationship-building skills, comprehensive P&C knowledge, and the ability to assess client needs to deliver tailored insurance solutions and risk management reviews.
Producers act as trusted advisors to ministry partners, collaborating with internal teams and carrier partners to grow a profitable book of business. You will serve as the primary growth engine, responsible for meeting annual production targets and ensuring seamless handoffs to the operations team.
What You'll Do: 🔍
Lead Generation & Prospecting
- Execute comprehensive prospecting strategies across multiple channels (existing clients, referrals, program channels, outbound contacts, etc.)
- Conduct discovery meetings to assess pain points, insurance needs, coverage gaps, and decision-making processes, including meetings in Korean when appropriate
- Develop account-based marketing strategies targeting Korean-speaking ministries and nonprofit organizations
- Leverage CRM tools and sales intelligence platforms to optimize prospecting efficiency
- Evaluate inbound leads for alignment with underwriting criteria, prioritizing profitable opportunities
- Collect and analyze underwriting inputs, including exposure data, operational details, and loss history, for precise carrier submissions
Proposal Development & Presentation
- Collaborate internally to prepare insurance marketing materials, applications, quotes, and proposals
- Conduct risk assessments and coverage reviews tailored to religious and nonprofit organizations
- Create compelling proposals highlighting coverage, limits, deductibles, and pricing; present and explain materials in Korean as needed
Market Intelligence & Carrier Relations
- Stay informed on market conditions, carrier appetite changes, regulations, and emerging coverage needs
- Maintain expertise in specialized markets and industry segments
Client Transition & Handoff
- Manage sales cycle from initial contact through binding
- Ensure seamless transition to Account Management with comprehensive client background and service expectations
- Attend industry events, including those within Korean-speaking communities
What You'll Need: 💼
- Bachelor’s degree and/or 2–5 years of sales experience; P&C sales preferred
- Fluency in Korean and English (spoken and written)
- Valid Property & Casualty (P&C) License preferred; Excess & Surplus Lines (E&S) License preferred
- Ability to obtain necessary licenses within 60 days if not currently licensed
- Active P&C license in your state of residence, with ability to obtain licenses in additional states as needed
- Professional sales training or certifications are valued
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, coverages, and rating methodologies
- Extensive understanding of GuideStone’s P&C insurance options, compliance requirements, and competitive landscape
- Proven track record in exceeding sales quotas
- Active methods of securing sales such as cold calling, networking, and business development
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Applied Epic or similar AMS preferred; CRM (Dynamics) proficiency
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- High energy, self-motivated, with a strong work ethic
- Ability to build C-suite and small business relationships through strategic prospecting
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to process and documentation
- Willingness to travel up to 25% for client meetings and events
- Maintain confidentiality regarding GuideStone business matters
