About the Role

We are seeking a Collections Specialist to join our Finance team. This position is responsible for overseeing the Accounts Receivable (AR) and collections activities across North and South America. The ideal candidate is a proactive professional comfortable working independently, engaging directly with customers, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure smooth collections processes. 🧾🤝

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end Accounts Receivable and collections process for customers in the Americas region
  • Lead cash application activities, ensuring accurate payment processing and reconciliation
  • Engage directly with customers to resolve payment queries, disputes, and account reconciliations
  • Collaborate with Sales and Service teams to align on customer accounts and collection priorities
  • Perform reconciliations across multiple ERP and financial systems to ensure accurate customer balances
  • Prepare and present regular reports on aging, collection performance, and cash flow forecasts
  • Drive automation initiatives to improve billing and collections efficiency and reporting accuracy

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, or credit control, preferably in a global or high-tech environment
  • Proven experience with cash application, reconciliations, and AR reporting
  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency with ERP systems, capable of navigating multiple platforms and performing reconciliations
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities, especially in managing customer escalations
  • Highly detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working independently as the sole contact for the region
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration preferred
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is a strong plus
