How You'll Make An Impact
This is an event-based role that allows you to:
- Support participant care and event operations: including phlebotomy, specimen handling, and documentation (paper or electronic).
- Help organize and manage clinical research events: ensuring they run smoothly, safely, and in compliance with all protocols.
- Be part of a mobile, mission-driven team: dedicated to improving healthcare access everywhere.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical & Participant Care:
- Perform venipuncture and capillary collections, maintaining aseptic technique and participant comfort.
- Handle biospecimens carefully — labeling, processing, and shipping under proper conditions.
- Promptly escalate safety or quality concerns to onsite leadership.
- Study Operations & Data Management:
- Document procedures and results accurately in approved systems aligning with ALCOA-C++ principles.
- Ensure compliance with GxP, HIPAA, and other regulatory standards.
- Follow SOPs to keep each event audit-ready and compliant.
- Participant Experience & Event Operations:
- Welcome and guide participants through the event process.
- Set up and break down event stations, prepare kits, and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
- Site & Administrative Support:
- Assist with light administrative tasks and inventory management to ensure smooth event operations.
Qualifications & Skills Required
- Clinical Expertise: Experience in venipuncture and specimen handling, with attention to labeling and documentation.
- Participant Care: Compassionate communication and professionalism when engaging with participants and community partners.
- Tech Readiness: Comfort using mobile apps and electronic systems for real-time data logging.
- Dependability & Flexibility: Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to dynamic event environments, capable of working independently or as part of a team.
- Optional – Mission-Driven Attitude: Motivated by expanding access to clinical research and the future of medicine.
Certifications, Education, & Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience performing phlebotomy and specimen handling activities.
- Active, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice.
Work Environment & Additional Details
This position is primarily on-site with less than 10% travel required; occasional planned travel may be needed.
