Your Role: Clerk, Accounts Payable

As our Accounts Payable Clerk, you'll ensure the timely and accurate processing of all invoices and check requests across multiple companies, supervising expense approval workflows and maintaining compliance.

Key Responsibilities 📝

• Receive all paper/electronic invoices and check requests, distributing them for approval in workflow systems like Concur Invoice
• Manage online vendor accounts, including downloading invoices and statements promptly
• Proactively ensure invoices are approved in a timely manner
• Review all invoices and check requests for accuracy, proper coding, and approval
• Ensure Sales & Use Tax compliance on company purchases
• Process approximately 300-400 invoices and check requests weekly, including manual processing when necessary
• Prepare daily payables batches for management review
• Generate weekly batches of manual checks and electronic payments
• Update and maintain vendor database with accurate addresses and tax information, including Form 1099 data
• Handle vendor-related requests from MLB Commissioner’s Office
• Serve as liaison for vendor reconciliation and statement management
• Maintain organized accounts payable files and records
• Support Staff Accountants with check and ACH payments
• Disperse and reconcile petty cash expenses accurately
• Deliver excellent customer service to internal departments and vendors
• Assist with administrative tasks and accounts payable audits
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge & Skills 📚

• Experience with Concur Invoice and Microsoft Dynamics GP is a plus
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to handle high volumes of detailed work and meet deadlines
• Professional demeanor, high discretion, integrity, and accountability
• Punctual, dependable attendance
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus

Qualifications & Physical Requirements ✅

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Associate’s degree or equivalent preferred
• 1-2 years of experience in Accounts Payable or General Accounting
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours
• Ability to travel within the ballpark during events and lift up to 25 pounds
• Must successfully complete pre-employment screening and background checks

Compensation & Benefits 💰🎉

Based on California's pay transparency law, the hourly rate for this position ranges from $22.50 to $26.20. Actual pay will depend on your experience, education, and skills.
