Position: Chinese Mandarin Tutor

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Chinese Tutor to deliver customized instruction in Mandarin (or Cantonese if required). Your role will involve helping students enhance their speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension skills, whether they are children, adults, or professionals seeking language proficiency for personal, academic, or business reasons.

Key Responsibilities 📝

• Deliver engaging Chinese language lessons tailored to individual or group needs.
• Teach pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, and conversational skills.
• Prepare students for proficiency tests such as HSK and AP Chinese.
• Develop engaging lesson plans including cultural elements into teaching.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Utilize multimedia tools to enhance learning and engagement.
• Communicate progress and improvement areas with students (and parents, if applicable).
• Maintain accurate records of attendance and performance.
• Recommend resources and adapt teaching approaches as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements 🎓

Educational Background

• Bachelor's degree in Chinese Language, Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
• Certification in Teaching Chinese as a Second/Foreign Language (e.g., TCSOL) is a bonus.

Skills

• Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (and/or Cantonese) with excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of language teaching methodologies and curriculum development.
• Strong interpersonal skills and cultural awareness.

Experience

• Previous tutoring or teaching experience across diverse age groups.
• Experience with online teaching platforms and virtual tools (highly preferred).
