Job Overview

We are seeking skilled Chinese and Cantonese Linguists to support a US Government client. As subject matter experts, you will utilize your language and cultural expertise to translate materials and develop English language products.

Key Responsibilities 📝

• Gist, summarize, and translate Chinese and Cantonese printed, electronic, or audio/visual materials into clear, idiomatic English.
• Use cultural, media, and language knowledge to respond to client inquiries.
• Follow client-specific style and translation standards to produce high-quality work.
• Efficiently utilize client tools and workflows.
• Meet tight deadlines, including same-day turnarounds.

Qualifications 🔍

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma with at least three years of relevant experience
• Proficiency at ILR level 4/4+ or higher in Chinese and Cantonese, verified through standardized language exams
• Deep knowledge of regions where Chinese and Cantonese are natively spoken
• Experience with open source research, product creation, dissemination, and collection management
• Experience in social media collection, analysis, and exploitation
• Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Excel, and Word
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a virtual, diverse team environment
• Strong time management and task prioritization skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Experience supporting the Intelligence Community (IC)
