The Chief of Staff plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional client service and supporting Financial Advisors (FAs), Private Wealth Advisors (PWAs), and their teams by overseeing business operations, strategic initiatives, and client relationships to foster business growth and efficiency.
Position Summary
The Chief of Staff provides top-tier service to our clients while assisting FAs/PWAs and their teams daily. This senior position manages all business functions and supervises Support Professionals’ activities, ensuring productivity and alignment with the strategic goals of the team. The role involves developing and executing the team’s strategic plan, encompassing business development, marketing, and client relationship management to help scale the team’s success.
📝 Duties and Responsibilities
- Team Oversight: Lead Support Professionals to ensure alignment on priorities and goals.
- Business Coordination: Manage team-related business matters, ensuring proper routing, tracking, and resolution.
- Strategic Initiatives: Guide and track key business projects, including asset acquisitions, growth, and performance metrics.
- Decision Support: Organize critical issues and information to enable efficient decision-making for Advisors.
- Client Relationships: Support and enhance client experiences through proactive relationship management and strategic communication.
- Client Service Needs: Assess client needs, determine actions, and delegate tasks within the team accordingly.
- Communication Strategy: Oversee team client communication strategies.
- Team Development: Collaborate with the Business Service Officer (BSO) on hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Service Innovation: Evaluate and implement new services to integrate into existing offerings effectively.
🎓 Education, Experience, Knowledge, & Skills
Education and Experience
- Languages: Fluent in Spanish (bilingual ability)
- Experience: Minimum of 10+ years in relevant fields
- Education: Advanced degree, professional certification, or substantial industry experience
- Licenses: Active Series 7 (GS) & Series 66 (AG/RA) or Series 63 (AG) & Series 65 (RA); willingness to obtain additional licenses as needed
Knowledge & Skills
- Leadership: Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- Financial Knowledge: Familiarity with financial products including equities, bonds, options, mutual funds, annuities, insurance, and managed accounts
- Technical Proficiency: Adaptability with financial platforms, MS Office (especially Excel), and internet applications
- Organizational Skills: Attention to detail with exceptional organizational and prioritization skills
- Communication: Excellent writing, interpersonal, and client service skills
- Time Management: Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Collaboration: Team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Adaptability: Flexible and capable of handling evolving priorities
- Results Driven: Self-motivated and goal-oriented
🤝 Reports To
The position reports directly to the Business Service Officer and/or Market Business Service Officer.
