Bring your compassion and empathy to our team as you provide patient care under the guidance of RN or LPN staff. Your support goes beyond emotional comfort—assisting with supplies, creating a positive team environment, and enhancing the patient experience are integral parts of your role.

Your Responsibilities 📝

  • Patient Assistance: Escort patients, take medical histories, and document visits.
  • Vital Signs & Measurements: Record temperature, pulse, blood pressure, height, weight, and pulse as needed in EMR.
  • Perform Tests: Conduct dipstick urinalysis, measure head circumference, vision, and hearing in Pediatrics, documenting all findings.
  • Translation & Communication: Assist with language line or translate for providers as needed.
  • Patient Flow: Maintain smooth flow of patients, attend to provider needs, and manage supplies.
  • Room Preparation & Assistance: Prepare exam rooms, assist during exams, and ensure rooms are clean and disinfected after each patient.
  • Patient Discharge & Scheduling: Discharge patients and schedule next appointments.
  • Documentation & Referrals: Maintain logs, coordinate referrals, and complete necessary paperwork for labs, X-rays, and prescriptions.
  • Patient Comfort & Safety: Ensure hygiene, identify patients accurately, and monitor equipment cleanliness.
  • Inventory Management: Track supplies, order weekly, and sterilize equipment following infection control policies.
  • Equipment & Supply Maintenance: Keep all treatment and medical equipment in proper working order and inventory levels maintained.
  • Chart Preparation & Blood Draws: Prepare charts for providers and perform venipuncture with appropriate assistance as needed.
  • Infection Control & Sterilization: Disinfect rooms and instruments, ensuring compliance with policies.
  • Staff Development & Certification: Participate in educational programs, maintain CPR certification, and assist in training staff.
  • Patient Interaction & Feedback: Introduce yourself, communicate effectively, and report any concerns or incidents promptly.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Strive to deliver the best possible experience for every patient.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks as assigned to support clinic operations.

Qualifications & Skills 🎓

  • Passion for patient care and community service
  • Graduate from an accredited medical assistant or medical technologist program
  • Registration or certification as a Medical Assistant (within 90 days of hire)
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)
  • Proficiency in computer systems and EMR documentation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and flexibility
  • Willingness to rotate through different sites and work weekend shifts as needed

Work Schedule ⏰

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Rotating Saturday shifts, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (as needed)
Extended hours from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM as required
> Total of 80 hours every two weeks
