Job Responsibilities
- Strategy & Planning: Develop short-term and long-term category strategies for Asian FRM and K-Snacks across the US, Canada, and Europe, in all channels including Club, Retail, and Food Services.
- Growth Support: Maintain a multi-year roadmap to drive category growth and profitability, with compelling messaging and positioning.
- Market Analysis: Monitor sales, market share, and competitive activities, leveraging consumer insights and product knowledge.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Sales, Supply Chain, R&D, and Operations teams on product innovation, planning, distribution strategies, and resolving issues.
- Marketing Planning: Lead the development of annual marketing plans grounded in consumer insights, preferences, and macro trends.
- Financial Targets: Set and manage P&L targets for various channels.
- New Product Development: Oversee the entire NPD process from conception to execution, including pricing, positioning, regulatory labeling, and packaging.
- Operational Support: Collaborate with departments like SCM, Operations, and R&D to ensure infrastructure supports product development and strategy.
- Market Landscape Monitoring: Use competitive analysis and consumer insights to inform product and category decisions.
- Lifecycle Management: Manage product improvements, lifecycle, and SKU rationalization.
- Marketing & Communication: Create strategies to promote new products and engage consumers effectively.
- Performance Metrics: Develop dashboards and data narratives to track category performance and support sales strategies.
- Research & Trends: Conduct market and consumer research, staying abreast of industry developments.
- Budget & Reviews: Support annual marketing budget planning and lead quarterly business reviews with leadership.
- Leadership: Oversee one direct report ensuring aligned objectives and professional growth.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration; MBA preferred.
- Passion for Food: A genuine love for food and its cultural significance.
- Experience: 10+ years in brand or product innovation marketing (CPG experience required), ideally in the food industry; 5+ years in senior marketing roles.
- Financial Acumen: Strong P&L management skills.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; familiar with IRI, Nielsen, Spins.
- Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Timeliness & Travel: Ability to meet deadlines and willing to travel.
- Language: Bilingual in Korean is required.
Compensation & Benefits 💰🎉
The salary range for this role is $125,000 - $135,000. We offer a competitive benefits package including:
