We're looking for a compassionate professional to provide trauma-informed support and advocacy for families facing housing instability, all while speaking Mandarin fluently.

Position Overview

The Case Manager will deliver comprehensive services, including assessment, goal development, and establishing partnerships with service providers. The focus is on supporting families to achieve stability by connecting them with resources and creating tailored housing, education, and employment plans. Fluency in Mandarin is mandatory.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide trauma-informed case management to families impacted by housing instability, involving advocacy, education, and resource coordination.
  • Complete intake assessments to evaluate needs related to stability and safety.
  • Offer trauma-informed counseling and crisis intervention to residents.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as timely documentation to ensure quality and compliance with regulations.
  • Practice client-centered, culturally, and linguistically sensitive engagement with residents, staff, and community partners.
  • Participate in professional development through internal and external training opportunities.
  • Attend regular meetings including supervision, case conferences, and staff gatherings.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications & Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human services or related fields preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED required, with three (3) years of relevant experience.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Fluent in Mandarin (mandatory).
  • Experience conducting intakes, assessments, crisis intervention, resource coordination, and case management.
  • Experience evaluating vocational and educational needs to support employment and economic empowerment.
  • Proficiency in trauma-informed care, client-centered practices, and cultural humility.
  • Dedication to person-centered, recovery-focused, and trauma-informed services, respecting residents' rights and self-determination.
  • Understanding of and sensitivity to homelessness issues in marginalized communities, including LGBTQ+ populations, elderly, and individuals with substance abuse or mental health challenges.
  • Flexibility with scheduling, including occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 10 pounds, and occasionally reach and bend.
