Case Manager - Mandarin Speaking Mandatory
Overview
The Case Manager is responsible for delivering trauma-informed advocacy and support to families with children affected by housing instability. This role involves direct service provision through assessment, goal development, and establishing partnerships with internal and external service providers to promote stability and well-being. The ideal candidate must be fluent in Mandarin to effectively communicate and engage with the community served. 🏡✨
Major Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive trauma-informed case management services via advocacy, education, and resource coordination.
- Complete intake assessments to evaluate needs for safety and stability.
- Offer trauma-informed counseling and crisis intervention to residents.
- Complete administrative and operational tasks promptly, ensuring compliance with city and state regulations.
- Practice culturally and linguistically sensitive, client-centered engagement in all interactions with residents, staff, CBOs, and stakeholders.
- Engage in ongoing professional development through internal and external training opportunities.
- Participate in weekly supervision, group supervision, monthly case conferences, and staff meetings.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Clinical Services and Program Director.
Qualifications
Education, Certifications, and Licenses
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field.
- Required: High school diploma or GED plus three (3) years of relevant experience.
Skills and Experience
- Mandarin fluency is REQUIRED.
- Experience in intake, assessment, crisis intervention, resource coordination, case management, and counseling.
- Experience assessing vocational and educational needs to support job readiness and economic empowerment.
- Proficiency in trauma-informed care, client-centered practices, and demonstrating cultural humility.
- Commitment to person-centered, recovery-focused, and trauma-informed strategies, respecting residents’ self-determination.
- Sensitivity and experience working with disenfranchised communities, including LGBTQ+, HIV-affected individuals, the elderly, and those with substance abuse or mental health issues.
- Ability to be flexible with scheduling as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds, reach, and bend occasionally.
- Willingness to work outside of regular hours, including evenings and weekends, occasionally.
