Job Overview

Position: Caregiver for Elderly Grandmother (Indian Preferred: Hindi/Punjabi Speakers)

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and trustworthy caregiver to offer personalized, non-medical support to our beloved grandmother. In this role, you'll assist with daily activities, ensure her safety and comfort, and provide companionship to promote dignity, independence, and a high quality of life. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys helping seniors live happily and comfortably at home.

Responsibilities

• Meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, and grocery shopping
• Providing companionship through conversation, walks, games, reading, or other engaging activities
• Supporting mobility around the home and assisting with transfers as needed
• Reminding about medications (non-administered) and upcoming appointments
• Running errands and providing transportation to medical visits, shopping, or social outings
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized living environment
• Communicating regularly with family members about daily routines, well-being, and concerns

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a caregiver for seniors or elderly individuals (preferred)
• Reliable, punctual, and genuinely caring personality
• Patience, empathy, and respect for seniors’ dignity and independence
• Excellent communication skills with an ability to build trust
• Physically capable of assisting with light lifting and mobility support
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (highly preferred)
• Comfortable working independently within a private home setting
• First Aid/CPR certification is a plus (not required)
• Must pass a background check
