Objective

Caregivers work independently either in clients’ homes or healthcare facilities, providing personal care and companionship. Their primary responsibilities include helping clients with daily tasks, offering emotional support, and ensuring their safety and comfort. 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️

Job Description

• Provide clients with companionship, socialization, and mental stimulation
• Transport clients to and from appointments, errands, and activities
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene
• Support transfers and ambulation
• Provide medication reminders
• Prepare and cook meals

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Experience with dementia care, including Alzheimer's and Parkinson's
• Empathy and the ability to address social, emotional, physical, and mental needs of clients
• Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
• Physical capability to reach with hands and arms
• Ability to lift, carry, or pull up to 50 pounds safely, avoiding injury during transfers or repositioning
• Occasional pushing/pulling of objects up to 50 pounds and bending/kneeling to complete tasks
• Overall physical strength and stamina

Salary Range: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour 💰

License & Certification Requirements

• Current HCA license (Preferred)
• CPR Certification
