We are excited to announce a remote opportunity for a dedicated Caption/Subtitle Translator to join our dynamic project team. This role offers the flexibility of working from anywhere while collaborating with talented professionals across fields.

Position Overview

As a Caption/Subtitle Translator, you will work closely with other translators and report directly to the project manager. Your core responsibilities will involve translating captions, subtitles, and various multimedia content, as well as handling machine translation post-editing and transcreation tasks. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of the target language and excellent grammatical skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate content within captions/subtitles, documents, web pages, and software applications.
• Correct cultural translation issues resulting fromMachine Translation Post Editing (MTPE).
• Adjust translations by limiting word counts without losing meaning.
• Maintain translation databases using Translation Management Software.
• Perform quality assurance throughout the translation process.
• Work with diverse media and various translation software tools.
• Resolve issues related to localization and cultural adaptation.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide accurate translation services.
• Implement feedback for continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in communications or linguistics.
• Minimum of four years experience in the translation field.
• Proficiency in Translation Management System tools and software.
• Solid knowledge of the translation process, terminology, and localization techniques.
• Familiarity with localization guidelines and standards.
• Ability to translate written materials accurately into a second language.
• Excellent translation, writing, and communication skills.
• Fluency in at least two target languages.
• Capacity to work under tight deadlines.
• Additional certification in linguistics is a plus.
