Join Our Team as a Caption/Subtitle Translator 🎥

We are currently hiring a dedicated Caption/Subtitle Translator to become a vital part of our project team. You will collaborate with other talented translators and report directly to the project manager. Your main responsibilities will include translating captions and subtitles, performing Machine Translation Post Editing (MTPE), transcreation, and more. To excel in this role, a natural understanding of the target language and solid grammar skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities 📝

• Translate content within captions/subtitles, documents, web pages, and software platforms
• Post-edit machine translations to fix cultural inaccuracies and improve quality (MTPE)
• Adapt translations by limiting word count without losing meaning
• Maintain translation database using Translation Management Software
• Provide quality assurance throughout the translation process
• Work with various media and translation software tools
• Resolve issues related to translation, localization, and cultural nuances
• Collaborate with other departments to deliver accurate translation services
• Implement feedback and revisions to improve and refine outputs

Qualifications & Skills ✅

• Bachelor's degree in Communications or Linguistics
• Minimum of four years experience in the translation field
• Proficiency in Translation Management Systems and related software
• Knowledge of translation processes, terminology, and localization techniques
• Familiarity with localization guidelines and standards
• Ability to convert written materials accurately into a second language
• Excellent translation, writing, and communication skills
• Fluency in at least two target languages
• Ability to meet tight deadlines
• Additional certification in Linguistics is a plus
