About the Role

This fully remote position allows you to work from the comfort of your home while contributing to meaningful conversations.

Responsibilities 🗣️

• Answer calls professionally, adhering to the interpreter's code of conduct
• Maintain awareness of industry-specific vocabulary (healthcare and medical, especially)
• Participate in internal professional training sessions
• Communicate and report effectively to your team leader
• Assist in cultural explanations to ensure clear understanding and avoid miscommunication

Candidate Qualifications ✅

• Fluent in both English and Cantonese
• Minimum of 6 months interpretation experience (preferred)
• Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills for high accuracy
• Ability to convey correct concepts and meanings following established interpretation protocols
• Capability to explain cultural concepts when necessary

Technical Requirements 💻

• Must demonstrate at least 90% proficiency in English
• Reliable wired internet connection
• USB wired headset
• Operating systems: Windows 10 or Mac
