Key Responsibilities

• Answer calls professionally: Uphold the interpreter's code of conduct during interactions.
• Utilize specific vocabulary: Be familiar with industry-specific terminology, particularly in healthcare and medical fields.
• Participate in professional training: Engage in ongoing skill development.
• Communicate effectively: Report to your team leader and collaborate seamlessly.
• Maintain a suitable environment: Ensure a quiet, secure setting with necessary tools like notepads, glossaries, and dictionaries.

Candidate Qualifications

• Language proficiency: Fluency in English and Cantonese.
• Experience: Minimum of 6 months interpretation experience preferred.
• Skills: Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills to ensure high accuracy.
• Interpretation protocol: Ability to accurately convey concepts and meanings, avoiding omissions or additions.
• Cultural competence: Capability to explain cultural concepts to prevent miscommunication, with client permission or upon their request.

Technical Requirements

• English proficiency: At least 90%.
• Internet: Steady wired connection.
• Hardware: USB wired headset.
• Operating System: Windows 10 or Mac.
